Part One
After the award ceremony, Brienne took Kathryn’s hand in
hers. She led her to a horse and carriage awaiting them in the alley next to
the building.
Kathryn’s lips parted to speak, but Brienne hushed her,
pressing her finger on her lips, before she helped her onto the carriage.
The driver’s whip slashed through the air.
The black horse strained forward.
The whip lashed again.
The carriage moved.
Kathryn chuckled. “Where are you taking me?”
Sapphire-blue eyes glinted at her. She smiled, took her hand
and pressed her lips on top of it.
Brienne’s face regained seriousness as she gazed ahead of
her.

Kathryn stepped onto the wooden bridge. A sound of wood
cracking made her jumped backwards, while gasping aloud.
She grabbed Brienne’s arm.
Her eyes skimmed over the bridge down to where it
disappeared into a pool of light. “Do we have to go down there?” she asked,
with enlarged eyes.
Brienne raised a brow. The tall, broad shouldered woman
pulled the petite figure closer. “I want to get you out of that dress. I’ve
been waiting for it the whole night.”
A little shriek escaped Kathryn’s lips when Brienne whisked
her up and carried her down the swinging, squeaking bridge.
She placed her head on the broad shoulders and shut her
eyes. She knew she was safe.
Part Two
After a night of passionate lovemaking, Kathryn discovered a waterfall near Brienne’s hut. She took off her clothes and immersed herself into the pool of cool water.
Twigs snapped and pieces of rock crushed as if heavy feet
trampled on it.
Kathryn covered her bare, voluptuous bosom and swung around.
She rolled her eyes, sighing with relief.
Brienne, dressed in full body armour, hid a smile of
amusement while feasting her eyes on the beauty in the water in front of her.
“I see you found the bathing pool.”
Kathryn nodded. “I was listening to the plunging waters long
after you fell asleep last night, my love.” She let go of her breasts and swam
closer. “I was curious as to where it was and as soon as the sun cracked
through the darkness, I came looking for it.” She frowned. “Why are you dressed
in your armour? Aren’t you joining me?”
The sapphire-blue eyes glistened in the bright sunlight. Her
stern face softened. “I will join you when I return, my Lady.” She took a bow
before she turned around and disappeared through the dense bushes.
